Top 5 uses for tea tree oil

Hello my pretty berries,

You know how much I rely on this little boy. I pretty much have all my skincare infused with tea tree oil and it sure helps control the break outs without over drying my skin, but did you know that there are many other uses for tea tree oil. I have listed below the top 5 ways that I personally like to use tea tree oil.

Tea Tree Oil

  1. Acne

Okay, so this is the most obvious reason why I would even use tea tree oil. We all breakout and it is the most annoying and sometimes painful thing we have to go through. What’s really good about this is that it’s more on the natural side compared to salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, which can be too harsh and drying to the skin (especially the face).

  1. Insect Bites

Using tea tree oil is a better alternative if you don’t have those over the counter bug bites topical creams. I find that it reduces itchiness just as well as other insect bite medications out there and it’s cheaper. Also, it calms the affected area, which means that it can help reduce the pain and redness and further speed up the healing process. I’m pretty sure that you can even buy the tea tree oil in a roller ball packaging, which is just amazing!

  1. Cuts and Wounds

Tea tree oil disinfects that exposed cut or wound which will prevent bacteria from causing any infection. Also, if you need to wash out the inflamed area then you may dilute the oil with warm water and use a towel to gently clean it.

  1. Eczema

During the cold winter months, my eczema usually shows up and makes me all itchy from all the dryness of my skin. When I came across this product, I started dabbing little amounts on the areas where I have dry patches (I know its gross LOL) using a cotton swab and that works just perfectly for me. If you want to try this on yourself, you may want to dilute it first and try it in a small area before going all out with it.

  1. Ear infections

Okay, before anyone judges, I got an ear piercing a while back that got infected which was really hurting. So I went to the place I got my piercings and the lady there told me that I should use tea tree oil to clean and disinfect around the pierced ear. I am kind of guilty for this because I wasn’t cleaning the fresh new piercing as often as I should to begin with so there you have it, don’t be like me and neglect your new piercings.

Alright! So that’s all of my personal top uses for tea tree oil. I’m sure that there are many many more other things that you can use this product and if you know of any other fantastic ways to use tea tree oil please share them on the comment down below.

Kisses,

Joy
