Simple Eye Make-up Look ft. Urban Decay Naked Basics

Hey my pretty berries,

I just posted up a new video on my channel!! I would really love it if you can all check it out and show some support for your gal over here =)

It’s a really simple eye look for those who doesn’t have a lot of time getting ready or if you’re someone that is just starting with make up because it’s so easy you can literally get this done in 5 minutes or less. Obviously, I took longer because I wanted to be really precise and specific with the tutorial but if I’m in a rush I can do this real fast!

I hope you all enjoy it and please like and subscribe to see more videos in the future.

Current Foundation Routine 2015

Hello my pretty berries,

This is my first ever foundation routine to put up on my blog and I am so excited to be doing this. I am in no way a professional make-up artist but this is the method and steps that I take to put on my foundation. I think it works well and I have been doing the same routine for a while although I do like to change it up once in a while depending on my skin and my mood.

I hope you all enjoy this post and let me know what you would like to see me post next. Also, here is a link to my Youtube Channel where I did show exactly how I did my Foundation Routine so you can check that out as well!

The very first thing I do is apply a face primer and right now I am obsessing with the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. It covers my pores and smoothes the entire face which creates this perfect canvas to work with. I focus the product mainly on the centre of my face and work my way outwards while slightly pressing the product on my face rather than wiping.2268948

Next, I take my foundation and right now I’m using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in the shade 4.0. It claims to be a weightless ultra definition  liquid make-up which is pretty accurate. It’s the perfect match for me at the moment and it doesn’t dry out my face. The foundation has a dewy finish which I love since I have very dry skin and I can use the extra moisture and glow from the foundation. Nobody wants to look dull! Let me know if you would like to see a more in-depth review of this product and I will go ahead and do that=)

Going forward, I typically use a stippling brush for my foundation for a lighter application but I sometimes use a wet sponge that I bought from Quo Cosmetics (it’s kind of like the beauty blender). It really depends on how I feel that day. Today, I used the Quo Foundation Sponge to apply my foundation.

At this point, I conceal my blemishes and under eye area. For that, I have been using the Revlon Blemish Concealer in the shade light/medium Then, I continue to use my Urban Decay Concealer stick in the shade “FBI” for the blemishes, dark spots or old scars. As for my under eyes, I use my NYX Full coverage concealer and lightly pat it under my dark circles =( blehhd_18462

Once everything is even then I take a translucent powder and the one I have been using lately is the ELF HD Powder. I use fluffy brush that I got from Icing and lightly pat it all over my face and neck. I swear this stuff keeps me shine free for hours without clinging on any of my dry areas. 20150114_215558

Then, I will finish up the rest of my face: bronzer,blush,etc..

The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer

The very last thing that I do is use a facial spray to set everything in place. I am loving the Urban Decay All Nighter Make-up setting spray. Remember to keep it at least 10 inches away from your face to properly diffuse the product and allow it to fully dry before touching your face because that may ruin your make-up.

I am still getting use to it but I am having so much fun filming and seeing all of you watching them and enjoying it. I will leave the Youtube link of the video for the haul that I did and I have posted some product photos and colour swatches. Quick & Easy Make-up Look

Hello my pretty berries,

I felt like doing a full make-up routine of what I would wear if I’m just running errands or go to the supermarket but I don’t want to look like a zombie with pale and lifeless looking skin. So I thought I would do a quick make-up look for when you just want to look put together and look like you had tons of sleep (even if you didn’t).

I can say that I can pretty much say that I can get this done in 10 mins or less depending on how quickly I got to get out of the door. At the beginning, it was a real challenge for me to get ready in such a short amount of time and look decent but after a while I learned that I would much rather spend the extra 20 minutes that I have for sleeping (raise your hand if you’re like me!)

As I always say in my make-up tutorials, I am not a professional make-up artist but this is just how I find the easiest way to get ready in a short time. Also, it depends on what is more important for you, for example maybe you can absolutely cannot get out the house without getting your eyebrows done or  putting on false lashes. So in my case, I have done the “Get out the door” Look in the order that I feel is more important for me so in case that I had to get out the door and I had to stop and leave then I know that I have done the most important things that I want to do first.

This can probably a really good idea to do for those of you who are either a mom or a student or late for work because I’m sure it’s not everyday that we all have the luxury to take 2 hours to get ready. So I hope that you enjoy and don’t forget to comment and like =)

When I’m in a rush a really good BB cream is my bestfriend because it’s everything I need in one product which means I can get ready faster. Although I haven’t found the perfect BB Cream that I can absolutely say I can’t live without I still haven’t given hope because I really do like the entire concept of the BB Cream. Please please let me know if you have tried other BB Creams that you liked so that I can check it out! For now, I have the Garnier BB Cream in “light/medium” which is decent and gives enough coverage. I just use my fingers and apply it on my face just like how I would if I put on my moisturizer.

Then, I apply a brightening concealer around the under eye area using my ring finger. It helps a lot with making the overall look alive and looks like I just had 12 hours of sleep.

After, you can set your entire face with a powder that can add a bit more coverage. I used The Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Medium Plus to add a bit more extra coverage and helps to have a more flawless look.

Then, I quickly move to doing my eyebrows and applying my mascara. I use my Maybelline Define-A-Brow because it is so much faster to do my eyebrows using a pencil form and the L’Oreal Voluminous Lashes mascara is my current favourite right now.

If I still I have time, then I will put on some bronzer and blush (which usually doesn’t take that long). The Physician Formula BB Bronzer and the Lancome Blush in “Sheer Amourose”

Now, I am ready to get out the door and do what I gotta do and the best part is that I look well rested (even though I’m not). Let me know in the comments below what you would do when you’re in a rush and still want to look somewhat put together.

See you all on my next blog post!

5 make-up essentials

Hi my pretty berries,

So imagine this, you’re stuck in a situation where you’re only able to take 5 items from your make-up collection. This doesn’t include tools or anything like that but just make-up products in general.

What would you pick? Well, here are my Top 5 make-up essentials that I absolutely need to go further in life.

1. Chapstick/lip balm – Burt’s Bees Lip Balm                                                                                burts beesI cannot live without my lip balms and I generally like all kind of moisturizing lip balms but one of my all-time favourites are the Burt’s Bees Lip Balms. Even though I have tons of different lip balms like TONS! I always find myself going back to this every single time. It keeps your lips moisturized and it doesn’t smell funky. If in doubt, Vaseline always works too.

2. Concealer – Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

prolong wear concealer

In love with this concealer! that’s that, I just couldn’t stop using my Mac Pro Longwear Concealer for blemishes and my dark circles. It literally stays on all day and it doesn’t really need to be set with powder but I do anyway (force of habit..) I gotta say though that it sets pretty quickly and the pump deposits too much product than what I would need but I can look pass that because the concealer inside is the bomb diggity!!

3. Face powder/Foundation – Bare Minerals Loose Powder

bare minerals

If I ever get in a situation where I can only pick ONE item as my foundation then I would definitely go for the powder version. It has a more light finish and gives it that “no make-up make-up look” and it also controls the oils in my face. I have used the Bare Minerals Loose Powder for 2 years and I never had any problems with it. In fact, it is my go-to foundation if I’m having a bad skin day or breaking out because I know my skin is not sensitive to the Bare Minerals Line and I know that my skin won’t get any worse.

4. Eye brow pencil – Maybelline Define-A-Brow

AAAhhh eyebrows…I have to fill in my eyebrows…Correction: I MUST FILL IN MY EYEBROWS! It just completes me and I have a slight obsession with it. The Maybelline Define-A-Brow is a perfect dupe for the Anastasia pencil that they sell for like $20+ dollars and I am just not willing to spend that much money especially when I know I have to re-purchase them so often. At least, the one I use is under $10 and can be found in most drugstores.

5. Mascara – Lancome Hypnose Drama – Instant Full Body Volume

I saved the best for last and I know it’s a bit hypocritical of me to pick a high-end mascara when I just mentioned that the Anastasia Eyebrow pencil is not worth the money BUT hear me out, I just haven’t found the ultimate mascara in the drugstore that I can honestly say I love and would repurchase because to be honest I have tons of drugstore mascaras and none really stood out to me compared to my Lancome Hypnose Drama. It does everything I need it to do; from lengthening to volumizing all while making it look not so clumpy and spidery looking. It is also very very black and holds my curl very well. In conclusion, I think it is worth the money just until I find a cheaper alternative.

Okay! That’s it for me today and I hope everyone’s 2015 is starting off really good and let me know what would be your essential make-up products you absolutely cannot live without. I love reading all your comments and your “likes” absolutely makes my day!=D See you on my next blog post.

New Year’s Resolution: Beauty Edition

Hi my pretty berries,

2015 is just right around the corner and I cannot believe how fast every year goes by. I thought it would be fun to share to you my New Year’s Resolution – Beauty Edition which will focus more on things that I would change/improve beauty related. So I hope you enjoy and don’t forget to comment below what your New Year’s Resolution for 2015.

I look forward to the upcoming year and what surprises it may have in store for me and this whole blogging experience. So far I am loving blogging, I just wish that my schedule allows me to have more time to write posts but I do try=) Anywho, here are my New Year’s Resolution for 2015!

  1. I will try not to lose anymore of my lip balms. Sometimes I think that there are little lip balm thieves that comes here and steals my lip balms because I swear I lose them faster than I can use it all. Does anybody else share this dilemma?!IMG_0572-1024x768
  2. Cleaning my brushes religiously is next on my list. I gotta stop being so damn lazy and consistently deep clean my make-up brushes. I know it’s gross, even I’m grossed out thinking about it >.<89d94ad59310a195b750574f966e223b
  3. Sanitize my phone every night. Yes, I have heard that phones are one cause for breakouts because we use it all day whethere we have clean or dirty hands. We put it down everywhere! I do this already but not as much as I should so I gotta get me some alcohol and do it more consistently (like every night)cXG9gTxZ
  4. Quit buying anymore lipsticks and give some love to that ones I already have. This one is going to be the hardest to do because I love me some lipsticks and I don’t think there is such a thing as “too much” of anything BUT I will try. The ones I ordered online before I posted this doesn’t count.Makeup-Little-Mermaid-Meme-Pinterest
  5. Organize my make-up and keep them that way for the entire year! HA! We shall see how this goes.tumblr_mvgva69SrQ1qfwdw7o1_1280

That’s all I have for now and don’t forget to let me know what are your New Year’s Resolution. I’m afraid that if I list more then I might not be able to commit to all of them and I am determined to follow through my resolutions. At least, I want to put an effort into it;)

Long lasting red lips

Hello my pretty berries,

I don’t know about you but there is nothing worse than having red lips “feathering” and transferring when eating or smooching and worse of  all when you have to keep re-applying 10 times  throughout the day. I thought I would share with you what I do when I use any red lipsticks because it’s such a statement look without doing too much. Technically, you can do this technique with pretty much any colour of lipstick but I do find myself going the extra step only when I use a darker shade of lipstick.

First, I picked some top red shades from high end to drugstore products. Also, you will need a lip liner, preferably something long lasting just like the Annabelle waterproof lip liner in Boisenberry. As for the lipstick, anything will do just fine. I just have here the Wet n Wild in Stoplight red, Revlon Colorburst in Crimson, Hour Glass in Icon and Nars in Dragon Girl.

Left to right: Anabelle Lipliner, Nars, Hourglass, Wet N Wild, Revlon

Then, you will need some type of translucent powder. I just have the Bare Minerals – Original Mineral Veil. I just use my finger to dab some of the product onto my lips until it is not sticky or “wet” anymore. You can test this by kissing your arm and if there are any red colour that transferred that means you have to add some more powder.

Your lips should look a little bit like the photo below. The flash of the camera kind of made it look glossy but it is matte and non-transferrable. It is definitely a lot longer lasting than just applying your lipstick but it’s not a tattoo either so at some point it will start to fade but not as fast.
