Summer Lookbook 2015 // Berryprettyjoy (and a surprise!)

Hello my pretty berries!

Long time no blog! I know I have been MIA for months and I have no excuse for that but ya know how it is, life’s been getting in the way and there just seems to be not enough hours in a day for me to do everything I want to accomplish and it’s partially because I am the queen of procrastination. Anyways, the important thing is I am back and I have got a lot of things in store for all of you.

I will try to work really hard on posting more on my blog as well as film videos on my Youtube channel. I just need advice on how you all stay on track with your blog posts while still working or going to school all at the same time.

Okay okay back to the topic, so since it’s summer and it’s very hot outside, I thought it’s about time I post a summer fashion segment in my blog BUT okay wait for it….wait for it…’s actually a collab with my very good friend Archie! *cheers*hoorahh* =) She will actually be featuring me as her guest blogger in her website and I couldn’t be happier. Her Blog is and it focuses on lifestyle, food, books and many more.Screen Shot 2015-06-17 at 11.18.20 PM

She will be posting up the photos and details of all my outfits and where I got them from. You can also check it out on my Youtube channel if you want.

I hope you all enjoyed this refreshing new post as I haven’t done fashion segments or any collabs yet. I would love to hear your comments and feedbacks. Also, don’t forget to check out my Youtube channel if you would like to see the detailed shots of each item that I was wearing in the photos above. Here’s a little preview: (you have to check out Archie’s post to see it in all of it’s glory)

I love you all and I will see you guys on my next post!!

Simple Eye Make-up Look ft. Urban Decay Naked Basics

Hey my pretty berries,

I just posted up a new video on my channel!! I would really love it if you can all check it out and show some support for your gal over here =)

It’s a really simple eye look for those who doesn’t have a lot of time getting ready or if you’re someone that is just starting with make up because it’s so easy you can literally get this done in 5 minutes or less. Obviously, I took longer because I wanted to be really precise and specific with the tutorial but if I’m in a rush I can do this real fast!

I hope you all enjoy it and please like and subscribe to see more videos in the future.

Current Foundation Routine 2015

Hello my pretty berries,

This is my first ever foundation routine to put up on my blog and I am so excited to be doing this. I am in no way a professional make-up artist but this is the method and steps that I take to put on my foundation. I think it works well and I have been doing the same routine for a while although I do like to change it up once in a while depending on my skin and my mood.

I hope you all enjoy this post and let me know what you would like to see me post next. Also, here is a link to my Youtube Channel where I did show exactly how I did my Foundation Routine so you can check that out as well!

The very first thing I do is apply a face primer and right now I am obsessing with the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. It covers my pores and smoothes the entire face which creates this perfect canvas to work with. I focus the product mainly on the centre of my face and work my way outwards while slightly pressing the product on my face rather than wiping.2268948

Next, I take my foundation and right now I’m using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in the shade 4.0. It claims to be a weightless ultra definition  liquid make-up which is pretty accurate. It’s the perfect match for me at the moment and it doesn’t dry out my face. The foundation has a dewy finish which I love since I have very dry skin and I can use the extra moisture and glow from the foundation. Nobody wants to look dull! Let me know if you would like to see a more in-depth review of this product and I will go ahead and do that=)

Going forward, I typically use a stippling brush for my foundation for a lighter application but I sometimes use a wet sponge that I bought from Quo Cosmetics (it’s kind of like the beauty blender). It really depends on how I feel that day. Today, I used the Quo Foundation Sponge to apply my foundation.

At this point, I conceal my blemishes and under eye area. For that, I have been using the Revlon Blemish Concealer in the shade light/medium Then, I continue to use my Urban Decay Concealer stick in the shade “FBI” for the blemishes, dark spots or old scars. As for my under eyes, I use my NYX Full coverage concealer and lightly pat it under my dark circles =( blehhd_18462

Once everything is even then I take a translucent powder and the one I have been using lately is the ELF HD Powder. I use fluffy brush that I got from Icing and lightly pat it all over my face and neck. I swear this stuff keeps me shine free for hours without clinging on any of my dry areas. 20150114_215558

Then, I will finish up the rest of my face: bronzer,blush,etc..

Revlon Cream Blush in Berry Flirtatous

The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer

The very last thing that I do is use a facial spray to set everything in place. I am loving the Urban Decay All Nighter Make-up setting spray. Remember to keep it at least 10 inches away from your face to properly diffuse the product and allow it to fully dry before touching your face because that may ruin your make-up.

That is it for me today my pretty berries! Don’t forget to comment and like =) I will see you on my next blog post and don’t forget to  visit my Youtube Channel as well:

Quick & Easy Make-up Look

Hello my pretty berries,

I felt like doing a full make-up routine of what I would wear if I’m just running errands or go to the supermarket but I don’t want to look like a zombie with pale and lifeless looking skin. So I thought I would do a quick make-up look for when you just want to look put together and look like you had tons of sleep (even if you didn’t).

I can say that I can pretty much say that I can get this done in 10 mins or less depending on how quickly I got to get out of the door. At the beginning, it was a real challenge for me to get ready in such a short amount of time and look decent but after a while I learned that I would much rather spend the extra 20 minutes that I have for sleeping (raise your hand if you’re like me!)

As I always say in my make-up tutorials, I am not a professional make-up artist but this is just how I find the easiest way to get ready in a short time. Also, it depends on what is more important for you, for example maybe you can absolutely cannot get out the house without getting your eyebrows done or  putting on false lashes. So in my case, I have done the “Get out the door” Look in the order that I feel is more important for me so in case that I had to get out the door and I had to stop and leave then I know that I have done the most important things that I want to do first.

This can probably a really good idea to do for those of you who are either a mom or a student or late for work because I’m sure it’s not everyday that we all have the luxury to take 2 hours to get ready. So I hope that you enjoy and don’t forget to comment and like =)

When I’m in a rush a really good BB cream is my bestfriend because it’s everything I need in one product which means I can get ready faster. Although I haven’t found the perfect BB Cream that I can absolutely say I can’t live without I still haven’t given hope because I really do like the entire concept of the BB Cream. Please please let me know if you have tried other BB Creams that you liked so that I can check it out! For now, I have the Garnier BB Cream in “light/medium” which is decent and gives enough coverage. I just use my fingers and apply it on my face just like how I would if I put on my moisturizer.

Then, I apply a brightening concealer around the under eye area using my ring finger. It helps a lot with making the overall look alive and looks like I just had 12 hours of sleep.

After, you can set your entire face with a powder that can add a bit more coverage. I used The Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Medium Plus to add a bit more extra coverage and helps to have a more flawless look.

Then, I quickly move to doing my eyebrows and applying my mascara. I use my Maybelline Define-A-Brow because it is so much faster to do my eyebrows using a pencil form and the L’Oreal Voluminous Lashes mascara is my current favourite right now.

If I still I have time, then I will put on some bronzer and blush (which usually doesn’t take that long). The Physician Formula BB Bronzer and the Lancome Blush in “Sheer Amourose”

Now, I am ready to get out the door and do what I gotta do and the best part is that I look well rested (even though I’m not). Let me know in the comments below what you would do when you’re in a rush and still want to look somewhat put together.

See you all on my next blog post!
